About Touched by Nature socks

Three size bands cover the first two years, 0-6, 6-12 and 12-24 months. That coarse sizing is deliberate: a sock that fits a foot for six months is worth more than one that fits perfectly for six weeks. The cuffs are ribbed knit rather than elasticated, which is the part that decides whether a sock survives a car seat. Most of these are an organic cotton blend with a little polyester and spandex, because a pure cotton sock cuff gives up inside a month.

They come in packs of six and eight for the obvious reason. Baby socks disappear at a rate nothing else in the drawer matches, and the honest planning number is that you will lose one of every pair before the size runs out. The gripper socks in the range are the ones worth keeping back for the stage when a toddler starts running on wood floors.

Questions about touched by nature socks

Answered for this line rather than for the whole range: 19 colorways, 3 sizes, $10.99 to $17.99.

Will Touched by Nature socks stay on your newborn?

Better than most, because the cuff is ribbed knit rather than a band of elastic, but no sock stays on a baby who is determined. That is what the packs of six and eight are for.

Are Touched by Nature socks pure organic cotton?

Mostly organic cotton with a little polyester and spandex in the blend. The stretch is what holds the cuff on the ankle. A sock knitted from cotton alone loses its grip inside a month.

Which Touched by Nature sock band do you take for a one-year-old?

12-24 months for most, 6-12 if your baby is small for their age. The bands are wide on purpose so you are not re-buying every eight weeks.
