What is on the sleep & play shelf

Everything on this shelf is built around getting a sleeping baby changed without waking them fully. The gowns do it by having no fastening below the waist at all; the zip sleepers do it in one motion from throat to ankle; the snug-fit pajamas take over when a child has moved to a bed and needs a top they can pull down themselves.

The sizes here match the rest of Touched by Nature: what fits on this shelf fits on the next one, in the same band.

What you see here is 52 prints in 17 sizes, $10.68 at the lightest and $43.99 at the heaviest. Where our figure and the checkout disagree, the checkout is right.

Questions about Touched by Nature sleep & play

What parents ask before they order from this shelf, in the order they ask it.

Can you open a Touched by Nature sleeper in one motion?

The zip sleepers open from the throat to one ankle, so a change is one motion and the baby stays mostly covered while you do it. The gowns solve the same problem the other way: no fastening below the waist at all.

Should you worry that Touched by Nature pajamas are not flame resistant?

No, and the federal rules do not ask cotton sleepwear to be. Sleepwear in these sizes either passes a flame test or fits closely and carries a label saying it is not flame resistant and should be worn snug. Read the tag that came with the garment. It says which route the piece took.

When do you move from a gown to a sleeper?

Usually when the baby starts kicking free of the hem, which is somewhere around two months. A gown is for the stage when changes happen every two hours and you want no fastenings in the way. A zip sleeper is for the stage when the legs have opinions.
